Jacobo Bergareche is the Spanish representative for the European Union Prize for Literature and was also awarded a special mention. Thanks to the collaboration between Inizjamed and Creative Europe Desk – Malta, Bergareche will be one of the invited authors at the Malta Mediterranean Literature Festival to be held at Fort St Elmo on the 26th and 27th August.

Inizjamed se ttella’ s-sbatax-il edizzjoni tal-Festival Mediterranju tal-Letteratura ta’ Malta, li se jikkonkludi b’żewġt iljieli fil-Forti Sant’Iermu, il-Belt Valletta. / Inizjamed will be holding the seventeenth edition of the Malta Mediterranean Literature Festival, which will culminate over two evenings at Fort St Elmo, Valletta.
Għaddiet ġimgħa mill-aħħar lejl fil-Forti, mill-aħħar nifs li ħareġ minnu l-poeżija, u għalhekk ġejna mislufa ftit taż-żmien biex nirriflettu fuq x’fisser il-Festival. / A week has already slid past since the last night at Fort St Elmo, since the last breath that birthed a poem, giving us some time to think about what this Festival has meant for us.
